Let’s work together to help our pupils attend regularly and on time!
At Elm Grove, we believe that every pupil's attendance is really important. We encourage all our students to arrive on time (at 8.50am) and attend regularly as it's key to learning from day one.
Children with great attendance often do even better in their studies and are confident with learning.
While 90% attendance might sound good, it actually means your child could miss nearly four weeks of school in a year. That's a lot of learning!
We also want to remind parents and carers of the importance of ensuring their children attend school during term time, unless there are valid reasons like illness.
If you have a child who is struggling to get ready for school on time or avoiding school, please speak with Sam Barfoot from the inclusion team and we will do our best to find strategies to support your family.
